Inter President Steven Zhang was present with the Nerazzurri squad yesterday and ate lunch with them, but will not attend today’s league clash against Bologna, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how Zhang ate lunch with the squad yesterday alongside coach Antonio Conte, CEO Beppe Marotta and sporting director Piero Ausilio, who recently renewed his contract with Inter tying him to the club until 2022.

However, the Chinese businessman will not attend Inter’s game today against Bologna nor their Champions League clash against Borussia Dortmund next week, the report adds, as he will be heading back to China for business related reasons.

Finally, there are no signs from the club’s management that they will sign either Barcelona’s midfielder Arturo Vidal or Manchester United’s Nemanja Matic, forcing Marotta and Ausilio to look elsewhere for midfield reinforcements to please Antonio Conte.
