Italian journalist Alex Frosio posted a series of tweets last night discussing the impressive performance of Inter striker Romelu Lukaku in the Nerazzurri’s 2-1 victory over Bologna, where the 26-year-old Belgian scored a brace.

The former Manchester United striker has been on fire since the last international break, scoring six goals in his last four league appearances. His brace yesterday was vital as the Nerazzurri struggled to beat a tough Bologna side, but Lukaku held his nerve and scored from the penalty spot in the dying minutes of the game to gift Antonio Conte and the Nerazzurri a key three points.

Frosio posted a series of tweets discussing Lukaku, saying: “I am happy to go to war with Romelu Lukaku. He will be poor, but he marks, he helps others, he makes the shores, takes fouls.”

“I repeat: I am happy to go to war with Lukaku. I understand the intention of playing from behind, but when you have Lukaku in front of you, if you throw the ball at him, he holds up the play – somehow he puts holds the ball – and defends it, kicks it there.”
