Both Inter and Borussia Dortmund are preparing for next week’s Champions League clash by resting certain players and building match fitness in others, a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport highlighted today.

The report details how the Bundesliga side, who beat Wolfsburg 3-0 yesterday, rested seven of their normal starters as they look to deploy a full-strength squad against the Nerazzurri on Tuesday, including their starting goalkeeper Roman Bürki.

The Nerazzurri, on the other hand, tested a few players in their victory over Bologna last night, such as starting 23-year-old Austrian midfielder Valentino Lazaro, who impressed Antonio Conte with his strong performance.

This test was important as Kwadwo Asamoah is still injured due to a slight knee injury, and therefore Lazaro may prove key in Conte’s squad decision.

Furthermore, the report adds, Conte plans to deploy both Cristiano Biraghi and Antonio Candreva at the wing-back roles, due to the continued injury of Danilo D’Ambrosio.

Star midfielder Stefano Sensi will join the squad on the trip to Germany next week, following his first training session with the group before yesterday’s victory, although it’s still unknown whether he will start or not.
