Former Milan midfielder Massimo Ambrosini spoke to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia yesterday, discussing the victories of Juventus and Inter yesterday.

“In my opinion, Juventus remain the strongest team. If Inter are able to stay strong they could be competing for an important result at the end of the season. The Nerazzurri rely heavily on their forwards, especially in the less brilliant moments.”

Inter’s two main forwards, 26-year-old Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku and 22-year-old Argentinian Lautaro Martinez, have been instrumental so far this season for coach Antonio Conte and Inter.

In the league Lukaku has scored nine goals in 11 league games, including an important brace yesterday against Bologna to secure three points for the Nerazzurri.

Lautaro has also been key for Inter, scoring five goals in 11 league games and providing three assists, with the attacking duo proving stronger and stronger as this season develops.

The Argentine’s quick feet yesterday in the dying minutes of the game against Bologna drew the foul that allowed Lukaku to win the game from the penalty spot.
