Inter midfielder Valentino Lazaro impressed in the Nerazzurri’s 2-1 victory over Bologna last night. Today Italian media outlet PassioneInter.com spoke exclusively to his agent, Max Hagmayr, who discussed his performance and his future.

“I think Valentino showed from the very first minute with his body language and his first actions that he is an Inter player. He was active, tried to create opportunities for attackers and was also defensively strong.”

“As far as I know him, I know he can do more if he gets more chances, he’ll know Conte’s playing system better and he’ll know his team-mates better on the pitch.”

He discussed the Austrian’s relationship with Antonio Conte.

“Conte is very important to us. Valentino has confidence in him and wants to restore the confidence he gives him on the pitch.”

He refused the idea that Lazaro would leave Inter in January on loan.

“That’s not in our plans. Valentino will play.”

The agent then touched on Lazaro’s growing confidence.

“Playing from the first minute was important. He was very happy to start showing off. He also felt Conte’s confidence in the training sessions and then played with a team that wanted to win the game at any cost.”

Hagmayr also discussed the possible roles that the midfielder can play in Conte’s system.

“Valentino can play in different roles. This is the role that Inter has assigned him and he likes to play in Antonio Conte’s system.”

Finally, he revealed that Lazaro is happy to be living in Italy and playing for the Nerazzurri.

“Yes, Inter are a great club and Milan is a top city. He lived first in Salzburg and Berlin, which are also wonderful cities, but now he’s really happy to live in Milan.”
