Former Juventus midfielder Giancarlo Marocchi spoke about Inter’s tough 2-1 victory over Bologna to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia yesterday.

“They’re a big team physically but quite static. If you take away Candreva, Lazaro, Barella and Gagliardini that run, the back three are static and advance with caution, the two forwards are always there up front. It’s a formation that takes possession of the field but does not run through the field. They have two forwards who are so strong that they become even stronger in pairs. The sum does more and makes the victory happen. They’re always there, they’re always there to be found.”

The Nerazzurri’s 2-1 victory over Bologna on Saturday seems them remain only a single point behind league leaders and rivals Juventus. The Bianconeri have been the only team to beat Inter in the league so far this season, showing the mental strength of the Nerazzurri and tactical genius of coach Antonio Conte.
