Inter midfielder Nicolò Barella, who scored the match winning goal against Hellas Verona in the Nerazzurri’s tough 2-1 win in the Serie A tonight, spoke to Italian media outlet InterTV immediately after the final whistle.

“I’m happy, both for the win and for the goal. In the first half we had a bit of a problem, then we went out again in the second half.”

The former Cagliari man was asked why the Nerazzurri are able to stage comebacks so often.

“Very often we make mistakes that unfortunately we pay dearly for, but then we turn out to be a great team. There was certainly a bit of fatigue as well, there has been a period of many close matches, but we worked hard to get ready for this period.”

“We’re happy. Now I’m already focused on the national team, then when we get back after the break, we’ll have to face the same tough things like in the difficult games.”
