Olivier Giroud has already given the go ahead to a potential move to Inter this coming January according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

Giroud has fallen right down the pecking order at Chelsea this season due to the emergence of several youngsters in Frank Lampard’s side and knows that if he wishes to be part of the France team at EURO 2020, he needs to be playing more.

France national team manager Didier Deschamps is understood to also have advised Giroud to look for alternative employment.

Giroud would be brought in at Inter and serve in the role of deputy to Romelu Lukaku. Due to previously working with Antonio Conte it will not take him long to get up to speed and used to his ways again.

The report goes on to state that he will cost no more than €7 million and the two clubs will soon meet to discuss him and that Inter could spread his bumper €8 million annual salary across an 18 month deal.
