Inter and Tottenham Hotspur are close to agreeing a deal over the transfer of Christian Eriksen according to a report from Danish news outlet Ekstra-Bladet, who go so far as to say it looks imminent.

The report states that the fee will be between 150-180 million Danish krone, which is equivalent to €20-23 million.

The 27-year-old’s contract with Premier League side Spurs is due to expire at the end of the season but it would appear that Inter cannot wait until then to sign him.

The report goes on to state that Spurs have tried their utmost to sign him to a new and improved contract and are willing to give him a significant signing on bonus but Eriksen is not interested as he wants a new challenge as he enters into his prime years.

Eriksen, who is a five time Danish footballer of the year award winner, has also attracted interest in recent weeks from Manchester United, Paris Saint Germain and Real Madrid.
