Inter need ‘a miracle’ if they are to sign Christian Eriksen in January, according to Italian journalist and Nerazzurri supporter Fabrizio Biasin.

Reports in England today suggested Beppe Marotta was ready to pay €20 million for the Tottenham midfielder in order to fend off competition in the summer from Real Madrid and Juventus, when Eriksen will be available for free.

The 27-year-old then played all 90 minutes as Jose Mourinho’s side were held by Middlesbrough in the FA Cup third round.

Speaking on Radio 24 this afternoon, Biasin confirmed Arturo Vidal was also a ‘very difficult’ target with Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde reluctant to let him leave.

Inter missed out on Atalanta’s teen sensation Dejan Kulusevski last week after the Swedish forward agreed to join rivals Juventus.

Biasin assured Inter had ‘every intention’ to sign the 19-year-old but were outdone by the Bianconeri as they could offer higher wages.

“Juventus can afford to invest €40 million on a player who ultimately chose to sign for them instead,” he added.
