Everton have made an offer for Inter’s Matias Vecino according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.

The offer, which is described as being ‘important’ by the Roman newspaper, will not be accepted by Inter until a new midfielder is brought in.

Inter have drawn links to several midfielders in recent weeks and months and improving the midfield department is understood to be the top priority this month.

Arturo Vidal and Christian Eriksen have both been heavily linked with moves to the club but it remains to be seen if Inter will manage to get deals done for either or both players.

Inter have struggled in their pursuit for Vidal due to Barcelona’s reluctance to drop their €20 million demands whilst they seem to already have an agreement in principle with Eriksen over personal terms.

The likes of Manchester United’s Nemanja Matic, Udinese’s Rodrigo de Paul and Cagliari’s Nahitan Nandez have all also been linked.
