Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa’s move from Inter to Flamengo is 90% complete according to a report from Brazilian news outlet UOL Esporte.
Inter and Flamengo remain in negotiations as they look to strike a deal over the 23-year-old striker but all parties are optimistic that an agreement can be reached soon.
The two clubs reached an agreement in principle over a deal worth €16 million a few months back but Inter told Flamengo that they would have to up their offer given what the player achieved since and due to interest from elsewhere.
As per various reports, Gabigol has already agreed personal terms with the Rio de Janeiro based club and he is expected to sign a four year contract with them.
Gabigol joined Inter back in the Summer of 2016 from Santos in a circa €30 million deal but has been limited to just 10 appearances across all competitions for the club since then, in which he scored a single goal.
