AC Milan have reignited their interest in Inter striker Matteo Politano, following the Italian forward’s failed move to Roma, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how the Rossoneri are considering the 26-year-old Italian as an alternative to 22-year-old Turkish winger Cengiz Ünder. The Giallorossi haven’t been impressed with Ünder’s performances this season but due to the long-term injury to Nicolo Zaniolo, they are likely to keep the Turk.

The Giallorossi also wanted to sign Politano in order to strengthen their attack but the deal for him collapsed earlier in the week.

AC Milan have already been in contact with Inter, the report continues, regarding Franck Kessie. The Nerazzurri could offer to send Politano to the Rossoneri in exchange for Kessie, considering that both players have a similar market value of around €25-30 million. Fiorentina and Napoli also like Politano but the player is still dreaming of a move to Roma.
