Inter wingback Valentino Lazaro is close to moving to Premier League side Newcastle, according to a report in today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the 23-year-old Austrian’s agent, Max Hagmayr, was in Newcastle yesterday to discuss the figures of his client’s contract with the English side.

The player has struggled to adapt to coach Antonio Conte’s tactical system and has found his playing time incredibly limited.

The current idea is a loan deal worth €2 million with a buy option set at €20 million, the report highlights. This figure would allow Inter to avoid making a capital loss in the summer, important considering the investment they made in bringing Lazaro to Milan last summer.

To replace Lazaro, Conte is looking to reunite with Victor Moses, the report continues. The duo won a Premier League title together in South London and all parties involved are happy for a deal.
