Napoli manager Gennaro Gattuso is not keen on the idea of Fernando Llorente possibly being included in a deal for Inter’s Matteo Politano according to a report from TuttoMercatoWeb.

Inter and Napoli, as per the report, already have an agreement in place over Politano on the basis of a loan with obligation to buy move worth a total of €22 million.

Reports in the past few hours and days have suggested Napoli could try and include Llorente in a deal in a bid to bring the overall cost down but Gattuso is not convinced about the idea as Llorente has characteristics which he deems essential for his team.

The 34-year-old Spaniard has been near ever present for the Partenopei this season having made 23 appearances across all competitions in which he has scored four goals and tallied a single assist.

The report from TuttoMercatoWeb also goes on to report that contrary to other reports, Inter have not given up in their pursuit of Chelsea’s Olivier Giroud. In fact, Inter manager Antonio Conte has already given his word to the Frenchman that he will be signed.
