Simone Zaza will not be joining Inter due to not wanting to leave Torino according to a report from TuttoMercatoWeb.

The Italian international striker emerged as a possible last minute signing for Inter and some reports went so far as to say the clubs had agreed terms over a loan with option to buy deal.

The 28-year-old turned down the opportunity to join the Nerazzurri due to the fact he would have preferred an outright transfer to the San Siro club.

It now remains to be seen if Inter will be able to get a deal over the line for a striker before the imminent closure of the January transfer market but it would appear unlikely.

Other reports in the media have stated a move for Leicester City’s Islam Slimani is difficult whilst Chelsea manager Frank Lampard confirmed earlier on today that Olivier Giroud would not be leaving the club.
