Lautaro Martinez wants to leave Inter for Barcelona during the upcoming Summer transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.

The 22-year-old’s agent has already met with Barcelona management three times for talks which Tuttosport believe is as clear a sign as possible that the Argentine national team forward wishes to swap Nerazzurri for Blaugrana in the coming months.

The player himself will have to take the first steps to get his move away after Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta confirmed prior to yesterday’s top of the table clash with Lazio that if players wish to leave, they have to let club management know that otherwise they will be staying put.

Lautaro is under contract with Inter until the end of the 2022/23 season and as part of that contract he has a €111 million release clause which is only valid for the first two weeks of July. Reports elsewhere in the media have suggested Barcelona do not wish to pay that but Inter have zero intention of accepting anything less than that.
