Inter owner Jindong Zhang has sent close to 100,000 masks to Italy to help the country in their efforts to contain and prevent the spread of Coronavirus according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

Zhang, who heads Chinese e-commerce giants Suning who bought a majority stake in Inter in 2016, has donated some 65,000 masks to the hospital in Bergamo and a further 21,600 to the hospital in Lodi.

Zhang’s donation follows several donations that Inter have already made in the past few weeks as the club look to provide help in any way they can amid this crisis situation.

Inter initially donated masks and also made a donation of €100,000 toward research into the virus that is being done at the Luigi Sacco University hospital in Milan.

The club also most recently launched a global fundraising campaign to help in the fight against Coronavirus with players and staff contributing a combined €500,000 to the campaign.
