Inter are closer to signing Fiorentina’s Gaetano Castrovilli than arch-rivals Juventus are but will have to deal with a stern Fiorentina management according to a report in today’s print edition of La Nazione.

It is widely reported that both Inter and Juventus have identified the highly rated midfielder as one of their top targets ahead of the upcoming Summer transfer window but Fiorentina are understood to be reluctant about letting him go.

Fiorentina tied him down to a new long term contract until the end of the 2023/24 season at the end of last year in a bid to deter interest but it does not seem to have worked.

The report from the Florence based newspaper goes on to state that as a result of the global Coronavirus pandemic, Castrovilli’s value, like players across the world has dropped. Previously valued at €30 million, the Italian national team player is valued at €20 million.
