Inter could agree to let Radja Nainggolan stay at Cagliari on a permanent basis and use him as the payment they are due Cagliari for Nicolo Barella according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.

Barella joined Inter this past Summer in a €50 million deal which was to be paid in two instalments of €25 million whilst Nainggolan joined Cagliari on a season long dry loan.

Cagliari are understood to want to keep a hold of Nainggolan but it has been reported that they could struggle to meet Inter’s demands for him as well as meet his salary demands.

However if they agree to take Nainggolan instead of the €25 million Inter are due them then they will not need to worry about paying any transfer fee but just his wages.

Whilst back in Sardinia, Nainggolan has made 24 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored five goals and provided six assists.
