Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic has covered the most distance on average in a 90-minute period so far this season, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the 27-year-old Croatian midfielder runs an average of 12.5 km per game, the highest in the league. Second place is new Juventus midfielder Dejan Kulusevski, who was signed from Atalanta in January.

However, Brozovic’s impressive distance coverage is not all positive. The report highlights how former Inter coach Luciano Spalletti suggested that Brozovic should focus on improving his movement, changing up quantity for quality, although he is still one of the best midfielders in the league. The player is a certain part of coach Antonio Conte’s squad for next season.

Brozovic has made 32 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2715 minutes. In that time, he has scored three goals and provided five assists.
