Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso is sitting at the top of Inter manager Antonio Conte’s Summer transfer window wishlist when it comes to left backs according to a report from Italian news outlet FCInterNews.it.

Conte has long been a fan of Alonso and took him to Chelsea 2016 and the pair could well be reunited in the coming months.

Whilst Chelsea would prefer to offload Emerson Palmieri rather than Alonso, it is understood that Alonso is very tempted by the prospect of a return to Italy, where he has already represented Fiorentina.

The report goes on to add that Inter have good relations with 29-year-old former Bolton Wanderers player Alonso’s representatives and it suggests that due to this it should not be too difficult to reach an agreement over personal terms.

This season Alonso has made 20 appearances across all competitions to date. In almost 1600 minutes on the field, he has scored four goals and tallied three assists.
