Italian journalist and transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio spoke about the future of Inter target Sandro Tonali in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia earlier today.
“Inter like him as much as Juventus do. He may be the right player to rebuild AC Milan. Everything will depend on the budget that the teams decide to invest in the market, because Cellino won’t accept less than €30 million plus bonuses. It’s not a deal that can be closed with exchanges.”
Inter and Juventus are both incredibly keen to sign the 19-year-old Italian midfielder, who is impressing in his first season in the topflight. Tonali, who is contracted to the Gialloblu until 2021, has made 24 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2130 minutes. In that time, he has scored one goal and provided five assists, with many comparing the Italian teenager to former Italy legends Gennaro Gattuso and Andrea Pirlo.
The Nerazzurri and Bianconeri are fighting over many transfer targets in view of this summer, with another player in the center of the battle being Fiorentina’s talismanic forward Federico Chiesa, who seems destined to join one of the two clubs in the summer, although Juventus are in pole position.
