Napoli will make an attempt to sign Mauro Icardi from Inter if Paris Saint Germain do not sign him up on a permanent basis according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset.
Icardi is currently out on loan at the French capital city club from Inter and they can sign him up on a permanent basis for a sum of €70 million.
There are contrasting reports doing the rounds with regard to their intentions and as a result a number of clubs have sparked an interest in the event he is sent back to Inter.
Napoli are among those clubs and could make another attempt to land Icardi having previously failed in the past.
The 27-year-old Argentine has also been linked with a move to Inter’s arch rivals Juventus and the report claims that if he returns, Inter are hopeful of a bidding war and will sell him to the highest bidder.
