Inter manager Antonio Conte could give both Radja Nainggolan and Ivan Perisic a shot at redemption but no such shot will be given to Mauro Icardi according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

All three players were deemed to be out of the club’s project this past Summer by Inter management and were all subsequently shipped out on loan to Cagliari, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint Germain respectively.

Whilst Nainggolan only joined Cagliari on a dry loan, both Perisic and Icardi joined their clubs on loan with options to buy set at €20 million and €70 million.

If Nainggolan is not bought outright by Cagliari, who are reportedly keen on keeping him, and Bayern Munich do not keep Perisic, they could be given another chance at the club so long as they show the right mentality.

Icardi will have no chance at redemption given all that has gone on in the past between him and the club and given that he would not be a good tactical fit for Conte’s system.

The report goes on to add that Inter president Steven Zhang is confident that Conte could get Nainggolan and Perisic performing to their best if they do return.
