Inter club captain and number one goalkeeper Samir Handanovic is set to sign a contract extension with the club according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.

Handanovic’s current contract with the clubs runs until the end of next season but the contract extension will allow him to possibly become the goalkeeper with the most Serie A appearances for Inter.

The Slovenian shot-stopper is currently sitting at 279 Serie A appearances for the club whilst the legendary Walter Zenga made 328 league appearances for the club.

The report from the Rome based newspaper goes on to add that Inter are continuing to look for a goalkeeper capable of playing as back-up to Handanovic.

Inter have been strongly linked with a move for Udinese’s Juan Musso, who could cost in the region of €20 million but they may opt to stick with Ionut Andrei Radu, who is already on the club’s books.
