Inter are interested in SC Freiburg defender Robin Koch, according to a report from Italian media outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.com last night.

The report details how the Nerazzurri are looking to sign young promising players to develop, with the 23-year-old German centre back attracting the attention of the Milanese club. Other clubs around Europe are interested in Koch, including rivals Napoli and Portuguese side Benfica.

Koch, who is contracted to the German club until 2021, has made 26 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2197 minutes. In that time, he has scored two goals and shown both strong marking and aerial prowess.

Inter are looking for a replacement for Uruguayan veteran Diego Godin, who seems destined to leave the Milanese club after only one season. The former Atletico Madrid man has struggled to adapt to the tactical system of coach Antonio Conte and so Inter are looking for a younger replacement, with another idea being Hellas Verona starlet Marash Kumbulla.
