Lazio have stepped up in their pursuit to sign Hellas Verona defender Marash Kumbulla according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.

The report explains that Lazio sporting director Igli Tare and manager Simone Inzaghi are both crazy about the Italian born Albanian national team centre back, who has starred during his first season in Serie A.

Lazio are however not the only club interested in signing the 20-year-old sensation with Inter also said to be strongly interested in signing him too.

Reports elsewhere in the media have stated that the Gialloblu club’s management, namely president Maurizio Setti, is looking for around €30 million to let Kumbulla go.

This season Kumbulla, who has a contract with the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi club until the end of the 2021/22 season, has made 19 appearances across all competitions to date.

In just shy of 1600 minutes on the park Kumbulla has contributed a single assist and helped Hellas Verona keep a number of clean sheets too.
