Udinese president and owner Giampaolo Pozzo has shared his belief that goalkeeper Juan Musso should stay with the club for at least another season amid reported interest in his services from elsewhere.

Inter are one of several clubs to have been linked with making a move for the Argentine shot stopper, who recently revealed that he was happy due to the interest that the Nerazzurri club have shown in him as of late.

Inter have seemingly identified the former Racing Club keeper as someone capable of initially serving as understudy to current number one Samir Handanovic before taking over from him and being the number one for years to come after that.

“Musso is very strong, but he must stay for another year here in Udine to fully complete his growth,” Pozzo remarked in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport, which appeared in today’s print edition of the Milan based daily newspaper.

This season Musso has made 27 appearances across all competitions to date during which he has managed to record a total of nine clean sheets.
