Inter linked Borussia Dortmund forward Mario Gotze will be a free agent in the summer, and has already been offered to AC Milan, Lazio and Roma according to a report from Italian media outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.com.

The report details how the 27-year-old German forward will not be signing a new contract with the German club, where he has played for the majority of his career.

The club’s sporting director, Michael Zorc, confirmed that the 2014 World Cup winner would be departing in the summer, saying: “Mario is a really good guy and we made the decision together after a meeting. Our working relationship with him will end in the summer.”

The Nerazzurri have been linked with many players who will be a free agent in the summer, the report continues, with other examples being players like PSG’s Edinson Cavani or Napoli’s Dries Mertens.

Many clubs are likely to look to sign free agents in the summer, in part due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, which has heavily affected the transfer market.
