Georgios Vagiannidis has signed a four year contract with Inter according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The highly rated young Greek full back is leaving Panathinaikos on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract and they will receive a FIFA determined compensation amount of €400,000 from Inter.

It will be up to Inter manager Antonio Conte to decide the player’s fate. Vagiannidis will join the first team for pre-season training and a loan move for the duration of next season seems the most concrete possibility but him sticking around until January cannot be excluded either.

The 18-year-old leaves the Greek Super League side has made 17 appearances across all competitions this term between first team and youth team level, in which he has scored five goals and provided a single assist.
