Inter will decide what to do with Radja Nainggolan once the player returns to the club from his loan with Cagliari according to a report from Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.

The Belgian joined the Rossoblu club on a season long loan this past Summer and is certain to return to the Nerazzurri at the end of the loan but what happens after that is currently not clear.

Nainggolan was judged to be out of the club’s project alongside Ivan Perisic and Mauro Icardi this past Summer but there is a chance he could be reintegrated into the first team picture due to his goal scoring ability and his ability to set up goals for others.

Alternatively, Inter could use him as a counterpart in a deal for another player although Nainggolan’s €4.5 million annual salary makes a move to almost every other club in Italy very difficult.

The report goes on to explain that Inter could do an exchange with Atalanta for either Robin Gosens or Timothy Castagne and pay 50% of Nainggolan’s salary. The player would also need to be convinced and the report concludes that for the time being such thoughts are fantasy.
