Inter striker Lautaro Martinez may become a cause of concern for the Nerazzurri in the remaining games of the season, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Corriere della Sera, although he should be sold to Barcelona in a deal worth €90 million.

The report details how the 22-year-old Argentine striker, who is contracted to the Milanese club until 2023, disappointed against Napoli in the second leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final yesterday, being seemingly invisible throughout the game.

The player is likely to end up at Barcelona in the summer in a deal worth around €90 million, lower than his €111 million release clause, with the Milanese club taking a player in exchange as well.

Lautaro needs to return to the form he found at the start of the season, the report continues, as the player has appeared sluggish for a few months now, even disappointing in the final few games before the Coronavirus stop.

Inter risk having a striker who disappoints and lowers his value through poor performances, and so coach Antonio Conte will need to work hard to ensure the player is still fully focused on his time with Inter.
