Monza have developed an interest in signing Inter youngster Xian Emmers according to a report from Italian news outlet SerieBNews.com.

The Serie C group C champions are awaiting confirmation that they will play in Serie B next season and are already thinking about possibly playing in Serie A in the future.

The club, who are backed by former AC Milan owner and Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi, have identified several players they would like to add to the team and Emmers is among them.

The Belgian youth national team midfielder is currently out on loan at Belgian Pro League side Waasland-Beveren and is set to return to Inter once that loan deal expires.

SerieBNews.com go on to explain that Monza could pursue a loan with option to buy transfer for Emmers, who has a contract with Inter until the end of the 2021/22 season.

This term Emmers has made nine appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored a single goal and tallied a single assist too.
