Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante’s salary represents a big obstacle when it comes to Inter trying to sign him according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset, which was aired a short time ago.

According to the report, Inter coach Antonio Conte faces a difficult challenge in trying to convince Inter’s directors to sign a player who earns €8 million net per season.

Inter manager Antonio Conte is understood to want Kante as part of his team next season and knows the Frenchman very well having previously worked with him, the report continues.

The report goes on to explain that former Leicester City midfielder Kante considers his time with Chelsea to be over after four years at the Stamford Bridge club.

The 29-year-old, who was part of France’s 2018 World Cup winning side, has a contract with Chelsea until the end of the 2022/24 season and currently earns €8 million a year and Conte will need to convince Inter management to pay him that salary.

This season Kante has made 27 appearances across all competitions to date. In his time on the park, which totals just over 2200 minutes, he has scored three goals.
