Inter manager Antonio Conte wants central midfielder Matias Vecino sold in the upcoming transfer window according to a report from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.com.

Conte and the Uruguayan national team player have never struck up much of a relationship since Conte took charge at Inter this past Summer and the former Italian national team boss wants the former Fiorentina player out of the club’s project and moved on.

Vecino looked set to leave in the most recent January transfer window with there being plenty rumours of interest whilst some reports suggesting Inter pondered a swap deal with AC Milan that would have seen Franck Kessie head in the opposite direction.

The report goes on to state that the same idea is unlikely to take off in the upcoming transfer window.

This season Vecino, has made 28 appearances across all competitions to date. The 28-year-old has scored three goals and provided one assist for teammates in his time on the pitch.
