People from Lionel Messi’s entourage have described reports circulating in Italy regarding a potential move to Inter as false according to a report from the online edition of Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo.
Last night a report from Italian radio station Radio Rai suggested that Messi father is moving to Milan in order to negotiate a transfer to Inter for the 2021/22 season.
This is not the first time that Inter have been linked with a move for the multi-time world player of the year and Inter’s former president Massimo Moratti in particular has never hidden his desire to see Messi in the black and blue of Inter.
The report from Mundo Deportivo goes on to explain that Messi himself is completely unaware of these rumours and is currently enjoying the week of vacation that manager Quique Setien granted the team following the end of the Spanish season.
This season the 33-year-old has made 42 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored 30 goals and provided 26 assists for his teammates.
