Over the last few weeks, Inter have been linked with a move for free agent Mario Mandzukic, and now the Nerazzurri will have competition for the player from Fiorentina and Galatasaray, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how the 34-year-old Croatian forward is a free agent after spending half of the season with Qatari side Al Duhail.

The former Juventus and Bayern striker has been linked with a move to the Nerazzurri as a possible backup for Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku, with coach Antonio Conte a fan of experienced veterans who know how to win.

As well as Inter, Fiorentina and Turkish side Galatasaray have been linked with Mandzukic, the report continues. The player failed to make a single appearance this season for the Bianconeri after being frozen out of the squad by incoming coach Maurizio Sarri, joining Al Duhail in January. He made seven appearances across all competitions before the Coronavirus stop ended his season.
