Inter defender Danilo D’Ambrosio’s agent Vincenzo Pisacane has highlighted the fact that his client always manages to carve out a space for himself despite Inter continually signing full backs during his time with the club.

D’Ambrosio joined Inter from fellow Serie A side Torino back in January 2014 and he has a contract with the club until the end of next season, although recent reports in the media have suggested that Inter are set to offer him a one year contract extension.

“He is a professional and he has done his job. In seven years, 21 full backs have passed through Inter and he has played 86% of the games on average,” Pisacane explained in an interview with Italian radio station Radio Punto Nuovo late last night.

He also revealed what the player told him following his goal against Napoli: “He said to me, ‘this is a goal that you used to do’ and it made me laugh.”

In his time with the club, the 31-year-old, who is naturally a full back, has also played at centre back. Since joining the club D’Ambrosio has made 204 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored 15 goals and provided 17 assists.

This season he has made 27 appearances and during those appearances he has scored a total of three goals.
