Inter striker Lautaro Martinez is among five players who Manchester City could add to their ranks in the transfer window according to a report from British broadcaster Sky Sports.

The Premier League side are seeking a long term replacement for ageing club legend Sergio Aguero and it is understood that his compatriot Lautaro is at the top of City’s wishlist to replace him.

This is not the first report that has linked Lautaro with a potential switch to the Etihad Stadium outfit with The Athletic also reporting that he is on their radar.

The highly rated 22-year-old has been with Inter since 2018 and is contracted to them until the end of the 2022/23 season.

Barcelona have shown a real keen interest in signing Lautaro as well but Inter have done well to resist the offers Barcelona have made, which have ultimately fallen short of their demands for him.

This season Lautaro has scored 19 goals and provided six assists in 45 appearances across all competitions to date.
