Lazio have sparked an interest in signing Inter central midfielder Roberto Gagliardini according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

The Italian capital city club are looking to add depth to their midfield ahead of the upcoming season and believe Gagliardini is a good option to do just that.

Lazio have already submitted an offer of €15 million for the former Atalanta player, which would allow Inter to record a small capital gain, but Inter are understood to be holding out for €20 million.

The report goes on to explain that Inter could however look to include Gagliardini in a deal for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic given Lazio’s interest in the Italian national team player.

Gagliardini joined Inter back in January 2017 and has a contract with the Nerazzuri club until the end of the 2022/23 season.

This season the 26-year-old has made 30 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored four goals and tallied three assists.
