AC Milan are trying to hijack Brescia’s Italian international central midfielder Sandro Tonali away from Inter who have encountered two problems when trying to wrap up the transfer, Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia reported on air moments ago.

According to the report, the Nerazzurri are yet to make an official offer to Brescia for the player as Inter needs to first sell before buying, due to the financial effect of the COVID-19 pandemic and not due to UEFA’s Financial Fair Play rules.

Therefore, the report continues, Inter are struggling to find the right formula that Brescia owner Massimo Cellino is after to accept after already having agreed personal terms with the player.

The second issue Inter have come across, according to the report, is that the club are struggling to evaluate selling a player in the same role on the pitch as Tonali plays.

This has prompted crosstown rivals AC Milan to try and profit from Inter stalling by hijacking the transfer in order to find an agreement with both the Brescia and the player, the report concludes.
