Lucien Agoume is set to sign a contract extension with Inter according to a report from Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.

Negotiations over a new contract with the club started prior to the outbreak of the global COVID-19 pandemic and the talks resumed today as Agoume’s agent met with club management at Inter headquarters.

Agoume is set to be handed a new deal until the end of June 2024 and upon the contract being signed, he will be loaned out in order to continue his development as a player and gain first team experience.

Newly promoted Crotone are strongly interested whilst Schalke and Hellas Verona are also quoted as having an interest in taking him on a temporary basis in this report.

Agoume joined Inter back in the Summer of 2019 from FC Sochaux and in his first season with the club he managed to make three first team appearances although in his limited time on the park he was unable to make any goal contributions.
