Signing Emerson Palmieri is no longer a priority for Inter but that is not to say that Inter have entirely given up on signing him according to a report from Italian news outlet FCInterNews.it.

Following the arrivals of Achraf Hakimi, Aleksandar Kolarov and likely arrival of Matteo Darmian, coupled with Inter’s current wing-backs, the wing back department is considered quite complete.

Kwadwo Asamoah and Dalbert are both on the transfer list whilst Antonio Candreva could also leave but it remains to be seen what will happen with him.

The report goes on to explain that provided Emerson remains out of the Chelsea team and their plans, Inter could attempt a move to bring him to the club at the end of the transfer window, possibly on a loan with option to buy basis.

Due to the fact there are no offers for the Italian wing-back, Chelsea could accept a loan move to avoid being stuck with a player they deem surplus to requirements.

The report also adds that Inter already have an agreement in place with the player over personal terms with the former Roma player having agreed to a multi-year deal which comes with an annual salary of around €3 million.

Emerson would like to return to Italy after a few years in England and being able to work under Inter manager Antonio Conte again appeals to him. The report concludes that he is well aware that Inter currently have different priorities at the moment and departures will be needed before Inter do anything.
