Inter could make a saving of €41 million gross in wages by offloading several of their unwanted players before the transfer window closes at the start of next month according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The importance of such a saving should not be underestimated as it would allow Inter to make a move for someone like Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante.

Diego Godin and Andrea Ranocchia are both set to leave Inter for Cagliari and Genoa respectively but Inter are yet to receieve contrete offers for the likes of Joao Mario, Dalbert and Kwadwo Asamoah, all of whom are regarded as no longer being part of Inter manager Antonio Conte’s project.

The report from the Milan based news outlet concludes that part of the reason Inter are struggling to offload them is due to their salaries and clubs that have come forward being unable to afford them.
