Tottenham Hotspur’s technical director Steve Hitchen has met with the agent of Inter defender Milan Skriniar according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia journalist and transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio.

Hitchen was in Milan today and met with Milan Skriniar’s agent and explained the Premier League club’s project to him, according to the report.

Talks with Inter are also ongoing, with the Nerazzurri having slapped a €60 million price tag on Skriniar, but José Mourinho’s side are trying to get Inter to lower their demands, the report continues.

According to the report, the North London Premier League outfit are prepared to pay €50 million plus add-ons for the former Sampdoria player, as talks between the two clubs continue.

Should Skriniar leave Inter, Di Marzio goes on to explain that Inter will replace him with Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenkovic, whilst Manchester United’s Chris Smalling is seen as an alternative to Milenkovic.
