There is still a bit of distance between Inter and Napoli regarding the terms for the transfer of Uruguayan midfielder Matias Vecino, according to a report from Italian media outlet FcInterNews earlier today.

The report details how the two clubs are still in talks regarding the 29-year-old, who is no longer involved in coach Antonio Conte’s project at the club.

Napoli have offered a loan deal with a buy option attached set at €8 million, and have also asked the Nerazzurri to pay his salary until November, when he is expected to return from his injury.

Inter have requested that the fee be raised to €12 million, the report continues, and for the buy option to become an obligation to buy should a certain number of appearances be registered.

Napoli want the number of appearances to be set at 20, whilst the Milanese club would prefer a lower number. Talks are still ongoing, with developments expected on Tuesday or later.
