Italian football journalist Michele Criscitiello has given Inter’s Summer transfer window business a 7/10 rating as part of his latest editorial piece for Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.

Inter have added Alexis Sanchez, Achraf Hakimi, Aleksandar Kolarov, Andrea Pinamonti, Arturo Vidal and most recently Matteo Darmian to strengthen the team for the season.

The likes of Antonio Candreva, Kwadwo Asamoah and Diego Godin have all meanwhile been allowed to leave the Nerazzurri club and a host of players have been allowed to leave the club on a temporary basis such as Valentino Lazaro, Dalbert and Sebastiano Esposito.

The Nerazzurri club also managed to keep a hold of the likes of striker Lautaro Martinez and central defender Milan Skriniar, both of whom drew very strong links with moves away from the club. Lautaro was strongly linked with a switch to Barcelona whilst Tottenham Hotspur had come in for Slovakian international Skriniar.

“Like it or not, it was Conte’s market and for Conte. We can argue about several things, but it was a transfer market done with the aim of winning immediately,” Crisciello wrote.

“If Conte does not win this year he will leave with his tail between his legs and he will not be able to complain about anyone. Inter have a top midfield, a partly reinforced defense, but winning is required to avoid a revolution in a years time.”
