Alexis Sanchez’s condition will be examined in depth today according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
Last last night Chilean media broke the news that Sanchez would miss Inter’s next two matches due to a muscle injury whilst Inter chose to neither confirm nor deny the media speculation.
Sanchez spoke with Inter’s medical staff yesterday ahead of his return to Milan later on yesterday having been away with the Chilean national team on national team duty and as per this report Sanchez never reported having any particular problems during the course of the conversation.
Inter have decided to be prudent and Inter manager Antonio Conte is hopeful that things are as Sanchez has previously said, nothing serious.
The report from the Milan based news outlet goes on to highlight that Sanchez previously recovered quickly from injuries and shown good resistance to pain, most recently when he surprised everyone by making himself available for the Europa League semi final and final.
In order for Sanchez to be available tomorrow, nothing has to be flagged up during checks because otherwise the risk of losing him for even longer is too high.
