Inter could potentially make a move to sign David Alaba on a free transfer according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The Bayern Munich and Austrian national team defender’s contract is due to expire at the end of this season and Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer recently announced that the club had pulled their latest contract renewal offer from the table.

Alaba is a player who would be a big signing for Inter manager Antonio Conte’s three man defence but the report from the Rome based news outlet warn that it will not be easy for Inter to land him due to there being considerable competition for his signature.

Reports elsewhere in the media have linked Juventus, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and Real Madrid with a move for the 28-year-old. One report has even suggested he would prefer a move to either Barcelona or Real Madrid.
